The islands are synonymous with sea, shade, and fresh water in the Caribbean. Traveling to this paradise and staying in one of the Turks and Caicos luxury villas, with all its infrastructure, is unforgettable.
Follow my experience of spending a week in the Caribbean.
I was hesitant to decide where to travel in January, but I decided to satisfy my son’s desire to go to New York, and then go to the beach. We traveled to the Big Apple, followed by Turks, and Caicos.
Armed with a lot of clothes, we left for New York. We loved the typical American experience: we immersed ourselves in the cultural life of New York for a week and then completely fell into the Caribbean. Our temperature dropped from minus 7 degrees to 25 degrees in Turks and Caicos.
These fantastic islands are only 3 hours away from Manhattan. We chose one of the Turks and Caicos luxury villas. This cluster of villas seems to showcase both sides of the Caribbean; landscape beauty and luxury. These villas are under the management of White Villas, a management company for upscale villas and resorts in Turks and Caicos.
The Turks and Caicos Islands have many beaches and each beach has its own beauty with its own landscape.
This small archipelago is in the Bahamas region, an hour and a half from Miami. There are a total of 8 islands and 40 smaller “islands” with a population of 33,000. The main islands are Providenciales, where the Airport is located, North Caicos, Middle Caicos, East Caicos, and South Caicos. Providenciales is often considered the face of the Turks and Caicos Islands because it is the center of the archipelago.
Providenciales is affectionately called “Provo” and it has Grace Bay Beach which is often considered one of the most beautiful in the world. But we stayed at Long Bay Beach on the other side, with a quieter vibe. We stayed in a five-star villa under the management of White Villas.
We were completely pampered by the service and to this day I can still remember how well they treated us. When we wanted to spend the day in the middle of Provo, we contacted them and in less than half an hour, a luxury SUV was in front of us. We also had no trouble with all our necessities for adventures on the beaches around our island. A private boat was available and took us to at least five or six locations.
We had imagined that we would spend a few days with meals that were not to our taste but we were wrong. I was pleasantly surprised when a private chef was included in our package he was able to understand our culinary tastes and with his Caribbean cooking skills, he was able to realize the perfect blend, again and again!
And imagining we would have to swim in the public pool was our next mistake. We quickly realized that we had a private pool in our villa. Spending a few hours swimming and relaxing amidst the tranquil Caribbean afternoon was an unforgettable experience and if all goes well, I’ll happily plan to return next year.
Long Bay Beach may not be as popular as Grace Bay Beach but if you like a quiet, low-key atmosphere then this beach is well worth it. And if you want a memorable and luxurious Caribbean vacation then staying in one of the Turks and Caicos luxury villas under the management of White Villas is a wise decision.
