How To Choose The Right Cartoon

In 2023, the animated film genre looks to stun with stunning visuals and thrill with grand adventures. And while the year has also seen some flops — like Disney’s godawful Wish and Adam Sandler’s irredeemably bad Leo — it also boasts some real gems.

Chicken Run 2

23 years after Chicken Run plopped into theaters and became the highest-grossing stop-motion animated film of all time, the pugnacious poultry are back. Ginger and Rocky have a life together now on their peaceful island sanctuary, and they’ve even hatched a chick named Molly. But they’re not done fighting for all of chicken-kind just yet. When local chicken Frizzle (Josie Sedgwick-Davies) and her sidekick, Ginger, conduct a bit of local reconnaissance and discover a dastardly factory farm that’s pumping out nuggets at 30 birds to a cage, the girls know it’s time to get cracking. They’ll need to pull off another escape mission if they don’t want the whole flock to become chicken pot pie.

Sam Fell directed this sequel from a script by Karey Kirkpartrick and John O’Farrell. The voice cast includes Thandiwe Newton, Zachary Levi, Imelda Staunton, Jane Horrocks, Bella Ramsey, Daniel Mays, Romesh Ranganathan, and Josie Sedgwick-Davies. The film will be released by Netflix on December 15. ดูการ์ตูน a trailer for it below.

The Boy And The Heron

Mahito Maki’s life is upended when he moves from Tokyo to the countryside with his father and new stepmom. The move is in response to his mother’s death in a hospital fire, and the boy is wracked with grief and anger. He dreams of the woman he couldn’t save and even self-harms occasionally. The talking Grey Heron who spirits him away to a fantastical world of enchanted towers and otherworldly creatures seems to know all about his inner turmoil. The English-dub voice cast includes Florence Pugh and Willem Dafoe, but Robert Pattinson (Twilight) makes a remarkable debut as the Heron.

A melancholy but powerful fantasy that captures the essence of Hayao Miyazaki’s career, The Boy and the Heron is a masterpiece that reasserts his status as one of cinema’s most important artists. This is a film about the inevitability of loss and a reminder that beautiful things can fall into disrepair and be forgotten over time.

The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow

The quiet valley of Sleepy Hollow is the setting for tall tales of ghosts, witches and other supernatural beings. The locals are particularly afraid of the Headless Horseman, a former soldier who had his head shot off in battle and rides around at night looking for a new one. The town’s new school master Ichabod Crane is eager to dispel the legend and prove he’s not scared of anything.

The 1999 film version of this classic tale stars Johnny Depp as Ichabod Crane and Christina Ricci as Katrina Van Tassel. The movie begins with Washington Irving visiting a group of men in a tavern and asking them to tell him stories about the area. They begin by telling him about the legend of the Headless Horseman. Ichabod then explains that the story is true and that the Horseman really does ride through town at night.

The Boxtrolls

The Boxtrolls is a dark tale about dual societies, and it is beautifully crafted in stop motion. The intricate detail is a wonder to behold, even though the หนังใหม่ชนโรง has some disturbing themes that push the edge of comfort for children-themed films. Laika Entertainment is a studio that has carved out a niche for themselves with movies like ParaNorman, and they are making their mark in this era of computer animation.

The story centers around Eggs, an orphaned boy raised by underground cave-dwelling trash collectors who try to save their friends from evil pest exterminator Archibald Snatcher. Ben Kingsley makes Snatcher a ruthless villain that is convinced that the Boxtrolls are the cause of all chaos in Cheesebridge. Eggs is aided by his father Fish and friend Mr. Gristle, and he gets to know the townspeople who have started to welcome the Boxtrolls. As a humorous aside, we see that the Boxtrolls have four-fingered hands and that humans have five. This is a subtle hint that the Boxtrolls are meant to be seen as outsiders.
